Iran Surrenders!

Well, it's complicated.

A little less than an hour ago, President Trump posted this on Truth Social:

The lamestream media has not reported this surrender, but there’s no way the President of the United States would truth this on Truth Social if it didn’t happen.

    Correct.

Ergo giving someone the title of president, even if they won the election, doesn’t make them president, anymore than putting a chimp in a tuxedo would make the brute a gentleman.

Wait, so Iran has surrendered to its neighbors…but yet…

“…Iran is no longer the “Bully of the Middle East,” they are, instead, “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,” and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!”

    Which is it, Fatso?

@Kathy: The problem is that winning the election makes someone President, with all the powers thereto. It doesn’t, of course, make them presidential.

    Surely you’re being sarcastic.

Oddly, the truth failed to mention that when the Middle Eastern Countries said, “Thank you President Trump,” they had tears in their eyes. That surely happened, so I assume POTUS was just too modest to boast about it.

[Trump:] Iran is no longer the “bully of the Middle East

So blusters the bully of the Gulf of America and points southward.

  9. Rob1 says:

    The delusion:

[Trump:] Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors

    The counterpoint:

Iran rejects Trump’s demand for unconditional surrender as a ‘dream’

Iran’s enemies, Pezeshkian said, “must take their dream of the Iranian people’s unconditional surrender to their graves”, in remarks that further escalate the eighth day of conflict, which has choked global oil supplies and cut world air travel.

And apparently, there is discussion of renaming the Persian Gulf, “The Gulf of America Too.” But again, modesty.

I posted this in the Friday forum, but it belongs here. This administration’s definition of “surrender” isn’t the traditional one. We have a new language, which I will for the moment dub Trumplesh.

What the (and I really must empahsise this) F@CK?

I don’t now about the tears in other’s eyes, but Trump’s mangling of the English language and basic rationality certainly brings tears to mine.

The thing is, MAGA will respond to this with “Lulz, Trump trolz you, luzers! You haz TDS!”
Which is all very well, but in war policy, coherent thought is usually an advantage.
Overwhelming military power can compensate for a lot of foolishness.
Up to the point when it can’t.
Discovering those limits by experiment can be sometimes be painful

In matters of war, and apparently in matters of the economy and immigration, owning the libs is all that matters for MAGA.

@JohnSF: Ah…don’t take that attitude. Language has become a new, wonderfully fun game, Calvinball rules, of course!
