Megan McArdle and Peter Suderman Married
Congrats to Megan McArdle and Peter Suderman, who married yesterday.
Megan Jennifer McArdle and Peter William Lindeberg Suderman were married Saturday at the Cosmos Club in Washington. The Rev. William R. Ballance, a Lutheran minister, officiated.
The bride, 37, will keep her name. She is the business and economics editor of The Atlantic in Washington. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
She is a daughter of Joan F. McArdle, of Washington and Francis X. McArdle of New York. Her father retired as the managing director of the General Contractors Association of New York. Her mother retired as a real estate broker for Prudential Douglas Elliman, in New York.
The bridegroom, 28, is an associate editor, with a focus on health care and technology policy, at Reason, a magazine in Washington. He graduated from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
He is a son of Barbara L. Suderman and James D. Suderman of Niceville, Fla. His father is a professor of English at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
I broke the news of their engagement to the blogosphere last July 4. While I’ve met Megan many times over the years, I don’t believe I’ve ever met Peter. I had no idea he was so young!
And I’m unfamiliar with the traditional format for wedding announcements but it seems odd to me somehow that the parents are listed mother first.
Oooh, Cosmos Club, fancy.
Congrats to the happy couple.
Even though I wasn’t there, it seemed like I was thanks to the #McSudleman hashtag on Twitter yesterday 😉
I had no idea that McArdle was nearly 40. I thought she was around the same age as Matt Yglesias and Ezra Klein.
