Most Americans Back Decision Not To Release Bin Laden Photos
It doesn’t look like the Obama Administration is paying much of a political price for the decision not to release the death photos of Osama bin Laden:
The latest NBC News poll finds that nearly two-thirds of Americans back President Obama’s decision not to release the photos taken after Osama bin Laden’s death.
Fifty-two percent said they strongly believe the Obama administration should not release the photos, and an additional 12 percent agreed, although not as strongly.
By comparison, 24 percent said they strongly believe the photos should be released, and 5 percent more agreed not so strongly.
Honesty, you can put me in the 52% category on this one. We really don’t need to see bin Laden death porn.
me too. What is gained by releasing the photos? Nothing but the ability to say “I am not scared of the Arab street! They hate us already!” Which is really stupid when one considers all the variants of “Arab Street” and how many of them are glad Obama is dead.
Apparently, according to a certain former half-term governor, 2/3rds of Americans are pussyfooting drama queens.
(Needless to say, most of those on the right who carp about the photos don’t actually care about them. They just need to seize on something to keep up the “Obama is weak and unAmerican!” meme in the wake of the killing of bin Laden.)

I don’t think it worked.
Rasmussen has Obama’s approval rating at its highest level in almost 2 years.
