Not relevant to your picture, but I figure you can appreciate this. I had a couple of “Got It!” moments last month on my annual vacation in the Adirondacks. One came after 10 years of trying, when I finally had success in capturing a full moon rising over the mountain on the other side of the lake we stay at, partially obscured by the the distant trees. I’m not much of a photographer, and always managed to screw things up in the past. It’s amazing how quickly the moon traverses a line as it rises, and since it crests the mountain substantially after it rises on the horizon, and there were a number of years of clouds, and a year or two when I was just there at the wrong time. Over two nights I probably got 70-80 pictures and believed I hadn’t gotten anything really good, until I reviewed them carefully. For some odd reason the second picture of the first night was properly focused and exposed and had the trees at a good point. Every other photo that night was disappointing!
My dream would be to have a 600mm lens and a decent 35mm camera, but I only allow myself so much LensRental.com money each year.
Very nice.
