Announcing Tuesday’s Tabs

Kennedy’s comments, however, made it clear to Copeland that he’s had little experience with the disorder.

“I don’t appreciate people presenting themselves as experts when they don’t know a damn thing about something,” he said.

Indeed.

Also, there’s this little detail.

Kennedy has described autism as a “preventable disease.”

That’s rattled families that see a clear-cut answer for the cause of autism: genetics. Scientists, too, have concluded that genetics play a significant factor.

    The Bloomberg article really articulates the poison of Trump and the MAGA movement and its impact on our country. Unfortunately, the depression of the story far outweighs my anger.

    I worked as a canvasser in western PA for the 2008 election. I worked Charleroi a few shifts. About 2/3 of the homes on my route were abandoned then. I agree with cracker, fuck em. If these were European immigrants, that chud wouldn’t say anything negative about them in glad he gets to watch the decay of his hometown into ruins.

    @Scott:

    Here’s a take of DOGE from the Seattle Times, describing another case of very depressing dishonesty from this administration. The Lutheran charity was accused of money laundering by Musk. Since actions were taken without due process, it raises the question of whether the rule of law still exists in this country.

    For an administration that plays the Christian card to the hilt this should have been impossible.

    @Thomm:

    Celaschi reminds me of relatives who were known to say, “if you ain’t a redneck, you ain’t s***.” Churl is too kind a descriptor. Nothing wrong with this ass that beating him like a taiko drum wouldn’t fix, IMO .

    ETA Luddite’s suspicions are that the pointy top of his white hood (er, I mean hat) is a little too tight.

    From an amoral pair who view anything that doesn’t directly profit them a rip off and insult, this is entirely unsurprising. “Helping others? You’re obviously ripping me off!”

    I was raised Lutheran. (Didn’t take.) I’m not sure the GOP Christians regard Lutherans as Christians. Except Missouri Synod Lutherans.

    @gVOR10:

    Ditto with MSL, except when maternal grandmother was raising me as a Luddite. I suspect MSL is too wackjob liberal and squishy soft to fit in the new “Repub Christian” schema.

    @Flat Earth Luddite:

    Seems, to the Trump administration, that Christians that aid the poor aren’t really Christians. This could be used. A cognitive dissonance few laymen of any church can easily dismiss.
