In my life I have not once, not a single time, encountered the name of Chelsea Handler in any context apart from Fox News articles.

Confession. I didn’t read this article.   Not a word of it.  Nor do I have plans of doing so.  What I wish to point out is simply this.  In my life I have not once, not a single time, encountered the name of Chelsea Handler in any context apart from Fox News articles.  I have no idea who Chelsea Hander is, but I do know that Fox News loooooooooves (like Valentine’s Day-style looooves) to write about her because apparently she’s a bad bad person.

Hey Fox New, for the love that all that is good, get a grip.

Stop.

Please stop.

    Why would they stop? It’s a successful business model. They aren’t selling to you, any more than the National Enquirer is selling to you.

    It’s not just Handler, Fox News and other conservatives are also oddly obsessed with Lena Dunham. I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything she’s ever been in and would not know who she is were it not for right-wing media.

    Since I don’t watch Fox News, I honestly do not recognize the name Chelsea Handler. What a lucky man am I!

    Interesting. I’m going to conduct an experiment. I don’t watch Fox News or frequent any other fake news source. I recognize the name, Chelsea Handler, but literally have no idea whether she is a talk show host, a comedian, a movie star, a YouTube meme generator, a Kardashian or a singer. I assume she’s not in politics or I probably would have come across her.

    So I’m going to continue in this vein. I’m not going to read any of the comments here, nor am I going to click on anything I wouldn’t normally click on. I’m curious to see if she ever surfaces in real news sources.

    Chelsea Handler used to have a nightly half hour show on one of the cable stations. She is an outspoken liberal woman, and we all know how evil and trashy they are. As opposed to those paragons of virtue, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. Now those are classy women, who use insightful arguments to advocate for their point of view.

    This is my fake news commentary for the day.
