A German court has ruled that office parties are work, not fun. Anyone who has ever attended an office party already knew that, of course.
As a consultant the real question is whether they’re billable.
If it’s a client’s party, I’d think so. If it’s your company’s party, probably not unless there’s some sort of “overhead” category you can charge against.
Obviously never been to one of our office parties.
