    1. @Kathy Indeed! I honestly had not seen your comment!

  1. This again shows that they LIE about EVERYTHING.

The line they were using was that it was “being checked,” which is absolute nonsense as these slides are like airbags–once they are deployed, you have to completely reset and re-certify that they are fit for use. You don’t “test” them.

    1. I wonder how the Fake Force Bribe plane is configured. As far as I know, the real AF1 contains little but comms gear and personnel in the upper deck, as well as the cockpit.

I don’t know if a working slide is part of the minimal equipment list. I’ve heard diverging opinions about it. One claim is that if a slide is known not to work, passengers and crew care not allowed to be seated near that exit.

So in the event of an evacuation, I wonder what the people in the upper deck would do. There’s a door on the opposite side fo the fuselage, I assume. But one thing that often goes unmentioned about aircraft exists is that they have more exits than required, because sometimes one or more exits may be unusable due to fire or other hazards that result from an accident or crash.

I suppose they’d have to rush downstairs and find another way out.

Seriously, given the heightened security around high officials, and El Taco, I’m surprised the flight wasn’t switched to another plane.

  2. My understanding is that they considered using another plane, but abandoned the plan when they discovered that there weren’t enough airport catering trucks available to transport everyone.
