Late Night OTB

Florence and the Machine

James used to post music videos under the heading “Late Night OTB”.

I was listening to Florence + the Machine’s album Dance Fever (a great album, I must say) earlier today and the song “Dream Girl Evil” struck me as apropos to Tucker’s weird rant and the general incel energy emanating from some segments of the Trumposphere.

These lyrics, in particlar, resonated:

Well, did I disappoint you?

Did mommy make you sad?

Do I just remind you

Of every girl that made you mad?

Here’s a live performance of the song (follow the link, as the embed won’t work).

Florence and the Machine were at the Proms this year.
Probably you can’t follow this link in the US.
But Florence is just so excellent.
Her Glastonbury set when they stood in for the Foo Fighters was one of the best ever.

Excellent and timely choice to revive the tradition. I haven’t listened to Florence in way too long now, so thank you!
