    I was thinking perhaps in addition to the open forum, we could have an occasional trivial forum. That is, no politics, policy, or the ongoing collapse of a once great country.

    I expect I’ll listen to the podcast tomorrow.

    The Doomsday Weapon is mentioned in a TNG novel, Vendetta. It was meant as a dumb, but powerful weapon against (spoiler alert) The Borg.

    Trek novels are not cannon. On the other hand, while I did like Discovery, I think it should not be taken as cannon either.
