I feel like folks like Megyn K and Erik E are saying these things in the way that folks in the South might say they would rather vote for a Russian than a Demo(n)crat, i.e., they think they are being funny.
Honestly, this actually calms me down a bit. It makes me feel that Trump has been given the okay to put on a “show” for his Maga Base and world in general, to make it look like he hemmed and hawed until the last minute before his “deadline” to not plunge the world into real chaos.
So the fix seems to be in, and maybe Tucker Carlson is right that the military and a handful of other folks pretty much told Trump behind the scenes that he can put on as much of a show as he wants if that is what makes him happy, but no…having our military commit mass war crimes against the nation of Iran is not on the table.
A rare time when it will not bother me if the right decides to mock us liberals for believing that President Trump would actually nuke Iran, and how out of touch we are with the rest of our fellow Americans, let them do and say what they will.
However, this is the type of performance that really does not work a second time around. The next time Trump threatens to destroy a country like Cuba, he is going to have to move forward and make his words a reality. Otherwise, his MAGA base will be all like, bruh…you keep telling us that Cuba needs to be destroyed but aren’t doing anything about it, you need to pooh or get off the pot otherwise you are going to start losing your Base.

Not that I would want to find out, but I do wonder what Megan Kelly would have to say if the world was turned upside down by all the consequences of a US nuke strike, including global economic tail spin (global means here in the US too, Kelly) and likely blowback here on our homeland. Wonder if she’d still be worried about what “Dems are doing to children” (verses what Reps are actually doing to children) — which just serves to show how utterly imbecilic Megan Kelly is — or, a complete liar.
