You all aren't getting any serious writing out of me today, obviously.

Rather clearly, nothing serious is coming from me today, but I will take a brief pause from dean-related paperwork and share these because I know the denizens of OTB demand content!

Holy sh!t, the number of people who don’t get the first one is satire…
Yikes.
@Jen:
I do hope none of the fools is British, but I fear the worst…
OK, just saw a fantastic tweet but lost the link; just take my word for it OK?
RL-LOL
(GBNews being the UK equiv. of Fox; except not, ’cause it has an audience that often barely breaks into six figures; a laughing stock.)
@Stormy Dragon:
Oh that is beautiful.

@Jen: Sadly, I KNOW people who wouldn’t see it as satire and agree with the outrage.
And yes on the YIKES!
@David S.:
That’s the bunny.
Bloody hilarious.
Also, a bit more seriously, King Charles makes a speech to the nation and notably states his affection for Harry and Meghan.
Brit-translate: “OK, tabloids and mongers. BACK. OFF. NOW.”
Actually the whole speech was very good.
I think (I hope) my King is going to rise to his time.
I remember a M*A*S*H episode where Hawkeye says something like ‘England, where any boy can grow up to be the Queen.’
Unfortunately I can’t find proof for this. IMDB is great for getting quotes from shows but not here.
