   I love watching big thunderstorms at night. Preferably if they stay “over there” instead of overhead. The most impressive display I’ve ever seen was while driving across West Texas. Three big storms at once, one to the south, one to the north, and one straight ahead to the east. No hills or trees to get in the way of the view. I made some phone calls the next day and found the right person at the local NWS office, who told me that all of them had topped out at about 60,000 feet, so really big.
