@Greg: It is the main quad of our campus in Troy, Alabama. The building to the right is my building, that houses most of Arts and Sciences.
Not a meteorologist but to a sailor, those are called ‘mare’s tail’ clouds. Analogizing the combed, brushed and decorated tail of a prized horse’s tail of course. Very high altitude ice crystals. Good sailing tomorrow!
