  1. Be careful when reading Market Commentary — mine especially — for there is very often a disconnect between short term moves caused by technical or sentiment factors, and actual economic issues which may or may not underlie the markets.

    Also remember, markets are future discounting mechanisms — so by the time positive economic news is known, its often way after the market has made its initial foray higher.

    Hey, if it was easy, everyone would be rich!
