OTB WordPress Update
Let us know if anything's broken.

We’ve just been updated to the latest WordPress install. My guess is that it’ll mostly impact the front-pagers, as the writing interface is radically different. But let us know here if anything seems broken that was working before.
Just testing the commenting feature.
Just checking to see if the name/email fields are back to being sticky…
Edited to add: Alas, they are not 🙁
@SKI: Yeah, I have no idea why they’re broken. The problem is that, with so many ways of accessing the site, it’s potentially a very expensive problem to track down when you’re paying by the hour.
Check to see if preview function works: No, sadly, it doesn’t.
Just checking to see if the upvotes stay visible after a refresh. No, they don’t. Like before, new upvotes only appear after a new comment is posted to a thread.
@Kylopod: I’ll pass this along but, unlike the auto fill of commenting info, I haven’t experienced this. I suspect it’s also a function of different interfaces but upvotes work for me on PC, laptop, and iPhone.
@James Joyner: They work in terms of counting your vote but the count next to the vote, indicating how many overall up/down votes a comment has, becomes invisible if you refresh the page – until someone posts another comment.
I reloaded the site and I can still see a photo of Mitch McConnell’s face so I’m going to say Broken.
Is Doug OK?
All good here on OTB. But I’ve been seen lots of issues (WordPress and otherwise) the past 3 weeks on other sites. I’ve been getting “Loading Site” and such. There is something unstable on the interwebs.
And for rachel – see post earlier today about DougM = OK.
@rachel: In case you missed this update …
A few months ago the operators of a site I spend lots of time with convinced me to volunteer my time to help port a bunch of useful but unsupported WordPress plugins to their new install. I can confidently state that WordPress has managed to reproduce all of the blunders in software development platforms from the 1990s. Starting with their “White Screen of Death” and moving on from there.
