Steven Taylor has create several spin-offs to PoliBlog:
- La PolÃtica Colombiana – “a tri-part combination of education on Colombian politics, academic analysis, and research storage.”
- PoliBlog’s Deportes – the sports section.
- PoliSciFi – “News and musing on scifi TV, movies books and such.”
He joins a growing trend in the blogosphere with this subdivision although, as he notes, there has been some debate as to whether it is a positive one. I created the OTB side blogs, including the defunct OTB News, back in March, to post material that I didn’t think would interest the core politics and national security affairs readership. I still cross-post the occasional sports or pop culture piece here, as always, if I think OTB’s audience would be interested.
