Via the BBC:  Putin set to return as president

Addressing the ruling United Russia party’s annual congress, Mr Putin and current President Dmitry Medvedev backed one another to switch roles.

The announcements end speculation over which man should run for the top job.

Or, one might just call it switching titles again…

    I love how blatant it is. Turns out that Medvedev was just a seat-warmer after all, which is what everyone thought he was from the beginning.

    In any case, Putin will win another term, and depending on how old he is, the cycle will continue.
