    1. Well, it is until it isn’t.
As I’m sure Rubio realises, but is to spineless to say.
Betraying allies is a game that eventually means a country has no allies at all.

  1. Some more info on Adolf’s latest car brain fart.

Not rockets, but compressed nitrogen thrusters. Same principle, but no combustion. Ok, sure, but see this video. Sure, you totally want to blind the cars behind you. That’s totally safe, yes?

We’ve seen lots of concept cars come and go. They never go into production, but some of their new features are genuine innovations that make it into latter production models. The novel look and some extreme features are largely hype.

But it seems Adolf is announcing production models of this monstrosity. He should schedule an appointment with reality instead.

    1. I do not want a flying car. What exactly is the use case? And if there’s a malfunction…

I do not want a flying car from Elon Musk, by several orders of magnitude more.

      1. It just feels like wasted time and money for the flash of it all, because he can. It is just most megalomania on display.

      2. The thrusters are reported to be as loud as 140 dB. Observers at the demo were required to wear provided hearing protection even hundreds of feet away. So, either vast empty spaces — the show was at the SpaceX rocket engine development/test facility — or operation at multiple miles of altitude. There are no use cases.

    2. Just you wait. Someday every person on Mars will have one of these flying cars.

      1. And with full totally completely self driving coming next year!

    3. This will go the way of the amphibious cars, a novelty toy.

BTW, I remember the Amphicar 770 running around our bay on Long Island in the early 60s. Kinda cool but you still couldn’t ski behind it.

    4. I came across a Substack that pretty well covers this. Trump has been promising the roadster in some form next year since 2017. He has a history of whiz-bang dog-and-pony shows before some unrelated stock manipulation.

    5. Daftest thing I’ve seen in a long time, and that’s saying something.
I wonder what the hell the Tesla board think they are doing, if anything, because such tomfoolery is hardly supporting shareholder interests.

      1. Remember the exorbitant “compensation” the board gave Adolf? A little $%% billion for the poor world’s richest man?

They’ll think what he tells them to think.

        1. Oops. That was supposed to be $55 billion. I think I kept the shift key depressed while typing it. It’s not supposed to be two search wildcards.
