U.N. Stonewalling

William Safire‘s latest column, “Tear Down This U.N. Stonewall,” is worth reading. He examines the intricate cover-up of the graft in the UN’s Oil for Food program. Put it this way: If Richard Nixon were as skilled at stonewalling as Kofi Annan, Gerald Ford would never have been President.
