NFL’s Ray Lewis Says There Will Be A Crime Wave If The NFL Lockout Continues
The Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis warns the NFL that continuing the NFL lockout into the season could lead to a crime wave:
Lewis said a lockout would impact more than just NFL players.
“What we’re going through right now, we’re affecting way more than us,” he said. “Too many people live through us. People live through us. Walk in the streets the way I walk in the streets.”
And according to Lewis, one of the major results of lockout would be an increase of evil, which he says will come in the form of more crime.
“Do this research if we don’t have a season — watch how much evil, which we call crime — watch how much crime picks up if you take away our game.”
Seriously? This is what Lewis thinks of the fans who provide a large part of the money that goes to pay his salary?
No, it’s what Lewis thinks of his own fellow players – I mean, look at Lewis himself! The NFL season keeps a lot of crime from happening simply by giving a lot of potential criminals something else to do!
And I say that only _mostly_ tongue-in-cheek, after a brief look at the recent rosters of the Bengals, Cowboys, Ravens, etc….
Ray Lewis is threatening a one-man crime wave.
(Same joke: do you know why teen pregnancy was down during the Clinton Administration? Clinton was just too busy being president to impregnate all those teens…)
Well, look at the big picture aspects of it: who can actually afford to go to NFL games outside of Bankers, Pimps, and Drug dealers? Keeping these guys in the stadia and off the streets is good for the country.
65% of NFL players are Black. That sounds racist.
LOL
I heard that statement and wondered if the NFL players were going to gang up and rob banks to cover their losses. Otherwise, it made no sense at all. Are you sure this isn’t a Joe Biden quote?
Here in Brazil there is a joke that everytime that either Corinthians(Or Flamengo) soccer teams(Both teams with lots of lower income people among their fans) are playing there is no risk of anyone getting mugged.
