Fox News has projected Barack Obama as the winner in Virginia, although it’s tight with 91% of the precincts in.  If this holds, it’s the first time a Democrat has carried the Commonwealth in my lifetime.    Then again, Northern Virginia, the DC suburbs where I live, have grown tremendously with transplants.
