  1. Chua was on radio out here. Apparently a first excerpt (WSJ?) made her book seem less moral comedy and more prescription. The poor woman got death threats. What a weird road from there to Davos.

She was on Colbert the other night and points out that it says, right on the front cover, “This was supposed to be a story of how Chinese parents are better at raising kids than Western ones. But instead, it’s about a clash of cultures, a fleeting taste of glory, and how I was humbled by a thirteen-year-old.”
