Peter Doocy. He’s a doozy. Normal arc of human development is usually characterized by greater intellectual capacity as we mature, and as we learn from experience. Peter Doocy defies all that.
But there is perhaps some logic, some symmetry, to Fox News having one of its major morons cover a moron’s White House. They speak the same gibberish.
Just remember, like the hagiographies of Limbaugh reminded us, just because someone says racist things, we can’t call them racist unless we know how they feel in their hearts.
And after they did all that grovelling…
Pentagon removes major media outlets, including NBC News, from dedicated workstations in new ‘rotation program’
I guess it’s good that people are fact checking what seemed to be pretty unlikely claims like the $50 million of condoms. However, it wont make much of a difference. It will be accepted now and forever as gospel truth by Trump supporters.

@Stormy Dragon:
Wow. OANN, Breitbart, and HuffPost. There’s some seriously hard news outlets. Just what is needed by Trump’s DoD, headed by the ever sober Hegseth, to focus like a laser guided bomb on factual reporting of our very serious business of national defense, without a whiff of editorializing. We should all be reassured, by the tiny and unwashed hands that together clutch our collective security in an uncertain world.
Perhaps the appropriate response about the pilot in the cockpit issue should be “When flying with my loved ones I pray that the most capable pilot to fly me to my destination was not kept from the cockpit because of his skin color or where she worships or who she loves.”
@Rob1: I’m curious about adding Huff Post. That seems like a wrong move, but I don’t read it regularly, so I can’t say.
@,just nutha:
I don’t read it regularly either, but as far as I can tell, it’s not very favorable to Trump.
Where’s The Gateway Pundit in this line-up????? They worship Trump.
While FNC is a blight upon our information scape, I think the younger Doocy’s question may have been intentionally a bit hyperbolic–taking trump’s comments to greater heights of absurdity. Kinda like, “According to what he said, we should travel by car, train, and boat now, right?” And a parting level set… FNC is still objectively a purveyor of maga misinformation.

@ CSK says
HuffPo is politically curated and filtered news from a liberal perspective. It is not as hard news oriented as the media outlets that got the boot.
@a country lawyer:
A good argument might be that there is little evidence that patronage produces more competency than DEI. In this administration likely there will be an abundance of evidence that it, most definitely, does not.
@Rob1:
That doesn’t answer the question why Huffpo got a seat at the table.
@CSK: I was thinking along the same lines, but I’ve gotten fatigued with the topic of Trumpishness.
It seems the “condoms in Gaza” actually related to Gaza in Mozambique, not Gaza in Palestine.
That is, the AIDS/HIV prevention programme in Africa.
Which was not the sole recipient of that expenditure, just one of the administration and distribution points for the project.
MAGA: if they had brains, they’d be even more dangerous than they are being stupid.
@CSK: It suggests HPost shouldn’t have a seat at the table.
