Sharon Stone, who has made a career of displaying her nude body in movies and is apparently not going to stop at the age of 47 is upset that people don’t focus on her fine acting talent but instead concentrate on the nudity.
Sharon Stone wants people to look beyond her nude scenes
The crossing of her legs without wearing an underwear may have been voted as the sexiest scene in the history of Hollywood, but Sharon Stone is annoyed that audiences have focused more on her nudity in the mega hit ‘Basic Instinct’, while ignoring her acting skills. Reports add that Sharon believes that her acting is ‘pretty good’ in the hot thriller ‘Basic Instinct’.
Sharon, 47, who played the character of a seductive woman, Catherine Tramell, in the 1991 movie and has recently finished shooting its sequel in London, now wants audiences to look beyond the skin-showing scenes and instead concentrate on her overall performances. “I think my performance has held up. The film and the character don’t stay with you because of the nudity. That scene doesn’t have impact because a woman uncrosses her legs, but because I’m good in it,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
Michael Douglas will not appear in the sequel, and Sharon will have a younger lover this time. And she may appear nude again in the follow-up.
Personally, I just watch her movies for the articles.

She can’t really be that stupid, can she? Or maybe she just thinks the rest of us are?

Well, she’s been in some stinkers, but her acting in Basic Instinct really IS good. The way her character toys with Michael Douglas’s is fantastic.
Anderson: Agree. Most successful actresses, even the ones who made their careers with their looks, can act.
