    Mitt Romney said that there are pols in his party who didn’t vote for impeachment because they feared for the safety of their families. They knew trump was guilty, but they were afraid. I have said for years that the GOP have even absorbed by organized crime, somewhat facetiously, but only somewhat. They have certainly employed mafia style tactics, especially since trump.
    I’m pretty sure most media is being influenced by threats of violence, too. How could they not be?

    @becca: I suspect that AOC, Ilhan Omar, Swalwell, et al get more, and more credible, threats and seem to be able to get on with business.

    @CSK: I doubt many left wingers are going after democrats. Republicans are being threatened by people within their own party. That is the biggest takeaway.

    @becca: I’ve observed before that this is perfect WAPO bothsides. Republicans and Democrats are just alike. Both are being threatened by Republican loons.

    Trump says that on Jan. 6 he “behaved so well.” What does he want–a lollipop and a gold star sticker?

    He won’t, however, answer questions about Jan. 6.

    I found cooking and aviation channels on YouTube. plus there’s the NFL. and Rosh Hashanah family gatherings to endure.

    And then I still have to do the rest of the week’s cooking.

    Last night in Cape Girardeau, Missouri the #15 Southen Illinois Salukis were behind 0-15 at halftime to the #12 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks. SIU was behind for the first 59 minutes of the game and managed to win the contest 26-25!
    For their effort SIU wins The War for the Wheel.

    Tomorrow Monday, September 18 is National Cheeseburger Day.
