I’m now (this week) eligible on 2 of 3 vaccine eligibility tiers (VA (um, no) and TriCare (just went to 55 here), but not the WA State system that is expanding to teachers and food production workers on March 17, or over 65). I’m actually hoping for the new single J&J shot as I may have had Covid in January 2020 (or Influenza B) before there were any tests for it – I didn’t go to the MD then, but a friend who did had her MD tell her in November he was now sure she had Covid before it was known (neg on Flu test, but only 70% accuracy). IF I had an early (milder, sorry, sickest I’ve been as an adult) direct-from-China (vice the later via Italy stronger version) case of Covid-19 (vice Influenza-B?) the 2 shot Moderna or Pfizer could make me really sick on the 2nd shot – a couple of PNW older friends have had really bad reactions to the 2nd shot – also sick Jan-Feb 2020 (Covid was here in the PNW by Dec 2019, just not known – and China LIED). So I’m holding out a couple of weeks on getting jabbed until the J&J fetal tissue vaccine is available (got no issues with a cell line from 1985 being used in testing, the kid that wasn’t born has saved many lives) – way better for the folks that may have had the early version of Covid-19 on the West Coast. Just can’t prove it (current earliest USA case a tech executive in San Jose in November 2019, visited Wuhan, she died, later lab tests said Covid-19).

@Gustopher: I was one of the Saturday vaccinations. I was quite surprised that had been able to make an appointment, but our region of the state went from one closed link (no appointments available for the foreseeable future) and one “second dose only” link (for which you make your appointment on a separate site) to contacts about 6 or 7 different site, clinics, destinations where shots and appointments were going to be available. I’m hoping that this will mean that Monala and others like her will be able to move up in line quickly.
