Steven L. Taylor is a retired Professor of Political Science and former College of Arts and Sciences Dean. His main areas of expertise include parties, elections, and the institutional design of democracies. His most recent book is the co-authored A Different Democracy: American Government in a 31-Country Perspective. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas and his BA from the University of California, Irvine. He has been blogging since 2003 (originally at the now defunct Poliblog).

I gotta be honest Steven, you’ve been doing a lot of cloud photos of late and to me? It is just a variation on a theme. No matter how good a photo it is, it’s just another cloud to me.
Please understand, that I understand how sometimes one just sees things differently than others. I have an attraction to derelict buildings and where I see lost dreams or past glories, others see just another pile of bricks.
@OzarkHillbilly: I have to admit, I do love me some clouds–especially storm clouds. There have been a number of very dramatic summer thunderstorms roll through and given the wide-open vistas near my home, I love trying to capture the drama.
