Some interesting comments, although I’d add one caveat: While I agree that Hillary Clinton is unlikely to run, I disagree that she has nothing to lose by waiting until 2008. Bush’s reelection, while in my view probable, is hardly a slam dunk. If another Democrat wins in 2004, Hillary is virtually precluded from running in 2008. She’s going to be rather long in the tooth in 2012.
