I’m sorry, but you have leapt to a conclusion that any sabremetrician would dispute. We need to consider much more data before making this decision. For example, was the seagull flying left-handed or right-handed? Were there seagulls on base at the time? What was the count? Perhaps the seagull was only trying to – wait for it – fowl off the pitch.
