Does it seem as though the Iran War is expanding (but not necessarily intensifying)?
US thwarts an Iranian missile attack and launches strikes with Saudi Arabia against militias in Iraq
The U.S. military said Tuesday that it knocked down an Iranian missile barrage and worked with Saudi Arabia’s forces to strike sites in Iraq that Tehran-backed militias have used to launch attacks in recent days, shattering a brief pause in fighting.
All Iranian missiles launched against American forces in the Middle East were intercepted, U.S. Central Command said, adding that they “remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness.” In announcing the strikes in Iraq, the U.S. warned that further attacks on American troops or Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure risked additional action.
Iran to get Chinese shoulder-launched missile systems in weeks: report
Iran is expected to receive within weeks a first shipment out of up to 400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air-defense missile launchers, three sources familiar with the deal told Reuters, as it rebuilds its defenses amid war with the United States.
The purchase, valued at $60-70 million, is one of Tehran’s largest-known efforts to strengthen its short-range air defenses since the outbreak of its war with the US and Israel, which exposed gaps in Iran’s ability to protect military sites and strategic infrastructure.
China must be loving that we are expending treasure and getting little in return.

What of all those billions of billions America’s Big Oil is getting from increased oil prices, reductions in refining capacity, and windfall profits?
I’m not saying El Taco went into this verkakte war to give Big Oil a huge payday, but I’m not sure why I’m not saying this.
On the other hand, seeing as how Iran seems to be changing tactics from retaliatory attacks to a more active role, maybe they figure they can further deplete US munition stocks, and drive the gringos off the Gulf? Or maybe Xi told them to in exchange for more support?

It does appear that they intend to drive U.S. forces out of the region. And if the U.S. and its regional allies need to keep expending interceptors to prevent Iranian ballistic missiles from hitting U.S. positions, then a more comprehensive withdrawal may happen, along with further reshaping of ME alliances.

“A deal with the devil”: Religion motivates data center opponents in Texas
Matt Long stood before the Granbury City Council at an April zoning meeting to oppose the influx of proposed data centers in Hood County, likening them to a spiritual abomination.
“I’d consider us a Christian city inside a Christian county,” said Long, a member of the county’s development commission who lives near Granbury. “As Christians, do we think that trading 2,100 acres of natural beauty for godless technological complexes is moving us closer to the creation, or further away?”
“Do we think that entering into negotiations with Google, Meta and Amazon are closer to making a covenant with God, or making a deal with the devil?” he asked the council.
Energy agencies want more authority over Texas data centers
Texas’ power grid operators are calling for state lawmakers to expand their authority to regulate data centers, following a recent directive to rein in these facilities from Gov. Greg Abbott.
In a letter to the agencies last month, Abbott directed the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) to take action to ensure that data centers lower residents’ energy bills when the facilities connect to the grid and require data centers to pay for the costs of their electric infrastructure.

Alex Jones calls for immediate Trump impeachment
Alex Jones, the former owner of InfoWars, on Tuesday said President Trump must be impeached over the Iran conflict, describing the situation as “absolutely out of control” and warning that the administration is preparing for a national draft.
“The big issue is how to stop Trump. And we have to have Congress go for the war powers. They’ve tried three times to vote on war powers — they’re supposed to authorize a war. This is a war; they’re getting the draft ready. If this isn’t a war, nothing’s a war. I mean, this is absolutely out of control,”
