Follow on to yesterday’s post: Hegseth Fires Military’s Top Planner
Trump is paying less attention to the affairs of government. Today, when asked about claims that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had fired Lieutenant General Sylvia for leaking classified information from the Pentagon, Trump responded: “She’s got problems. She’s gonna have big problems. She did. We’re very much looking for leakers and ah, she’s going to have big problems. Long-term problems.”
Lieutenant General Brett Sylvia, the director for strategy, plans, and policy on the joint staff that advises the president on military issues, is a man.

Pentagon tells Europeans to cool their rhetoric on Russia, sources say
Pentagon officials have in recent weeks asked several NATO countries to tone down their rhetoric regarding the threat posed by Russia, arguing that some statements by European leaders and officials have undermined continental security, four people familiar with the matter said.
The Trump Crime Syndicate needs its Russian energy deals, I guess.
