Re: The Guardian article on No Labels where they observe that both Biden and Trump are historically unpopular. I think that although this is true, it’s focusing on a symptom of a much more significant illness. Despite Biden being exactly the type of Democratic that would have polled relatively well with Republicans in a different era, he is unpopular today simply because he is a Democrat and the vast majority of Republicans have accepted the Fox News narrative: all Democrats are evil and Biden in particular is a senile, cocaine using, insanely liberal incompetent. The reason Biden is unpopular is because Republicans simply will not accept any Democrat, and that is a new-ish thing.
It’s not symmetrical though, Democrats still give pre-millennial approval levels to non-Trumpian or MAGA Republicans. But Trump and his MAGA’s are NOT equivalent to a normal Democrat such as Biden.
Re Melanie – sounds like they’re still negotiating the changes to the prenup to pay her to show up.
@gVOR10:
I read somewhere that Melania has $50 million of her own socked away in various accounts. Surely that should be sufficient to keep Melania, Barron, and her father Viktor in reasonable comfort without Donald’s largesse.
