Michael D. Griffin, whom President Bush yesterday nominated to head NASA, has a fair amount of book learnin’:

Photo Physicist Michael D. Griffin, nominated as New NASA Head He received a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Johns Hopkins University; a master’s degree in Aerospace Science from Catholic University of America; a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland; a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California; a master’s degree in Applied Physics from Johns Hopkins University; a master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola College; and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University.

I hope he gets an office with a big wall.

  1. While it’s great that he is, indeed, a rocket scientist, I’m relieved to see that MBA included in the list of scientific degrees. He’ll need that to run a government agency.

  2. Hey, his MBA is from Loyola — He’s a Greyhound!! Go dogs.
