   i fail to see how this particular story is worthy of any coverage, much less a resignation.

   The story is that he resigned.
   If no one reported that he had resigned and why there would be accusations of some sort of cover up.
   The constituents in Cucumber County, New Jersey would not be served by a local media that just ignored this.
   I can not imagine how reports of a newly seated county official would read if no mention is made of the incumbents disappearance.
   Actually I find the continuing revelations that some experienced politicians don’t seem to have a brain in their heads on this matter quite illuminating.
   But then, why didn’t Nixon burn the tapes?
